They rocked!
In the run up to the wedding, Jenna & The Gs met up with Liz to do a quick run through of the songs she wanted to sing on the day. The band really went out of their way to welcome Liz in to the group, and to get the best performance together they could.
On the wedding day, I said to Jenna that when looking at each of them individually, they’re all fantastic musicians, so when you put them together, they’re amazing.
The comments from all of the guests were great, and the dance floor was never empty.
Shortly after booking Adagio String Quartet for our drinks reception, we realised that they had actually performed at Liz’s sisters wedding as well, during the service.
So we knew they’d be good, and they certainly were.
They even helped us in our plan to play ‘boring’ classical music’ until we returned to “All You Need Is Love”, and then only play modern covers such as Stevie Wonder, Coldplay, Guns N’ Roses.
This tied in nicely with our ‘guests arriving’ music which was mostly piano in a classical style covers of modern songs.
Adagio received a few rounds of applause during the afternoon, so must have gone down a treat. (Shame Liz & I hardly had time to stop and listen.)
